Hi, it’s Michelle back again
Have you enjoyed working on your Carnivale Cushions so far? I have! I’m really enjoying seeing all the different variations and colour combinations you are all using. I love how different it can look depending on your colour choice. Such a creative lot you are!
This week we’ll be finishing off the front of the cushion. I’m excited so let’s get started….

Round 8:
Multi Colour Version

  • Using Colour C make a standing dc in any ch 2 space of previous round (between the 2 sets of 2dc cluster stitch), make another 4 dc in same space.

CAL round 8

  • *1 sc into space before next set of clusters

Cal round 8

  • 5 dc into next space between clusters*
  • Repeat from *to* to end
  • Fasten off with invisible join into top of first dc

Single Colour Version

  • Sl st over to the next space in between the 2 sets of 2dc cluster stitch, make chainless dc start or ch 3 (counts as first dc), make another 4 dc in same space.
  • *1 sc into space before next set of clusters
  • 5 dc into next space between clusters *
  • Repeat from *to* to end
  • Finish with a sl st into top of first dc

Cal round 8 finished
Round 9:
Multi Colour Version

  • Using Colour D make a standing sc into the middle stitch of any cluster from previous round

CAL rd 9

  • *Ch 5, sc into middle of next cluster

CAL rd 9

  • Repeat from *to end
  • Join with a sl st into top of first sc
  • Don’t break off yarn

Single Colour Version

  • Sl st over to middle of cluster, sc into this stitch
  • *Ch 5, sc into middle of next cluster
  • Repeat from *to end
  • Join with a sl st into top of first sc

CAL rd 9

Round 10:
Multi Colour Version

  • Still using Colour D, sl st into ch sp,
  • *4 dc into space, 1 dc into previous row’s sc

Cal rd 10

  • Repeat from *to end
  • Finish with invisible join into top of first dc

Single Colour Version

  • sl st into ch sp
  • *4 dc into space, 1 dc into previous row’s sc
  • Repeat from *to end
  • Join with a sl st into top of first dc

CAL rd 10
Round 11:
This round is the same as Round 7
Multi Colour Version

  • Using Colour B make a standing dc in any dc from previous round, make 1 more dc in same space, *ch 2, make 2 dc cluster stitch in same space
  • *skip 2 stitches, 2 dc cluster st, ch2, 2 dc cluster st in next space
  • Repeat from * to end
  • Fasten off with invisible join into top of first dc

Single Colour Version

  • chainless start or ch 3 (counts as first dc) into top of previous dc, make 1 more dc in same space, *ch 2, make 2 dc cluster stitch in same space
  • *skip 2 stitches, 2 dc cluster st, ch2, 2 dc cluster st in next space.
  • Repeat from * to end.
  • Finish with a sl st into top of first dc

CAL rd 11
Round 12:
Multi Colour Version

  • Using Main colour make a standing dc in any ch 2 space between double clusters in previous round, make 1 more dc in same space, *ch 2, make 2 dc cluster stitch in same space

CAL rd 12

  • *Make [2 dc cluster st, ch2, 2 dc cluster st] in each ch 2 space between each double clusters
  • Repeat from * to end
  • Don’t break off yarn

CAL rd 12
Single Colour Version

  • Sl st over to next ch 2 space between double clusters in previous round, make 1 more dc in same space, *ch 2, make 2 dc cluster stitch in same space
  • *Make [2 dc cluster st, ch2, 2 dc cluster st] in each ch 2 space between each double clusters
  • Repeat from * to end
  • Finish with a sl st into top of first dc

Round 13-14
Multi Colour and Single Colour Versions

  • Slip stitch over to next ch 2 space between double clusters in previous round
  • *Make [2 dc cluster st, ch2, 2 dc cluster st] in each ch 2 space between each double clusters
  • Repeat from * to end
  • Fasten off with invisible join into top of first dc

Carnivale cushion front finished

  • Weave in all those ends.
