The costumes we want to see.

So I’m hoping you pick me.

  • Claire says:

We’ve never been but my daughter loves dressing up as her favourite comic book character or book character. I want her to see all the amazing work that goes into all the costumes, the confidence they have and to take a friend of hers to share the day…in Melbourne.

  • Niccola Drake says:

My husband takes my son each year and they spend countless days planning the day… their costumes, what they’ll see, the bus trip to the city and what my son could spend his savings on!!!! A definite highlight for my kids would be the gaming zone along with star spotting! Winning would mean we could ‘unleash our inner geek’ together as a family and my daughter and I could join in the fun at OzComic Con Perth.

  • Kimberley says:

    Perth
I want to go to check out all the artists and their fanart, and the anime merchandise. You still don’t get a lot of decent anime merchandise at stores here in Perth. Checking out all the cool costumes is also fun!

  • Ruth says:

I would be going to Brisbane. I would love to see all the costumes that people have made.

  • Laura Mah says:

Melbourne. It is one of those rare events where you can be yourself (whatever that is) and everyone is celebrated. You can bring joy to someone purely because you dressed up – how good is that!

  • Victoria says:

As the mother of a six year old nerd-in-training who already finds so much joy in letting his geek flag fly, I would most like to see my little dude’s face alight with wonder at the Melbourne con. The costumes, the talent, the games, the merch; it would truly be his dream come true!

  • Christine McInerney Percy says:

Sydney. I’m the mother of 3 Nerdlings and as yet we haven’t managed to go to Comic-Con. I think the kids would get a kick out of the Cosplay outfits.

  • Karina Lee says:

I would love to go to the Sydney show and get my geek on…so I can fit in with my geeky husband and our two geek kids.

  • Odessa says:

I really want to go with my family this year, and I’m looking forward to cosplaying as Princess Bubblegum from Adventure Time with my friend who is going to be Marceline. I love everything about cosplaying. I love spending time putting the costume together and seeing it become something, but there’s nothing like going to a place full of nerds just like me who are all showing off something that they love. I am most looking forward to just being there with all those people. I know it sounds cheesy haha, but I just really love the whole idea of comic con. And if you need the details I live in Melbourne. Thank you, I think this a really cool thing to do.

Sydney, I love everything about the whole weekend from buying merchandise to getting autographs with celebs I’d never normally see to sitting in on workshops and listen to amaing stories. Then wait another 12 months before I can do it all again

  • Adam says:

Brisbane, would love to surprise my mate with tickets to oz comic con. he loves anything from the dc/marvel universe

  • Ruth Kenrick-Smith says:

We would love to totally nerd-out at the Melbourne Oz Comicon. Our family has never been before and we would all be starry-eyed with wonderment drinking every moment in – the comics, the cosplay, the guests, the amazingness of it all!
Thanks for this opportunity Cintia, you rock!

  • Chau Nguyen says:

I would love to go to the Adelaide event. I want to meet Melissa Joan Hart and ask her about her friendship with Britney Spears and know more about her days as Sabrina.

  • Dianne Nicholls says:

I’d love to take my family to the Adelaide event for the first time. The ticket would cover half of my family as I have 5 kids lol. The older ones are starting to love sci-fi which my husband and I LOVE. Our third son has even bought a Data costume in the hope that he can meet Brent Spiner as he found out he is coming!!!

    • Cintia @ My Poppet says:

Winner! Congratulations. Data was my favourite character on one of my fave shows. Would love to see a photo of your little data when you go.

  • Melissa G says:

I reckon my family would like to spend time in the arts n crafts space.

  • Anna B says:

Last year I took my two boys for the first time (7 yrs & 2yrs). They had an absolute ball, they couldn’t stop pointing out all the character cosplay’s that they knew. I would love to take them again this year in Melbourne and hopefully start a new family tradition.

  • Crystal Berry says:

We’d love to go along to the Brisbane event. My two children are just starting to get into super heros so would love all the cosplay. I am attempting to write a comic for my sister to illustrate and would love to get a good look around at what’s out there at the moment.
