It&#8217;s in Japanese but has enough pictures to be able to work out the designs. One of the &#8216;delicious foods&#8217; was a pumpkin, and I thought it would be fun to make a few and turn them into a garland just in time for Halloween.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-50550\" src=\"https:\/\/mypoppet.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/pumpkin-garland-title.jpg\" alt=\"Origami Pumpkin garland for Haloween or Thanksgiving\" width=\"600\" height=\"765\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mypoppet.com.au\/makes\/mp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/pumpkin-garland-title.jpg 600w, https:\/\/mypoppet.com.au\/makes\/mp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/pumpkin-garland-title-235x300.jpg 235w, https:\/\/mypoppet.com.au\/makes\/mp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/pumpkin-garland-title-156x200.jpg 156w, https:\/\/mypoppet.com.au\/makes\/mp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/pumpkin-garland-title-150x191.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Emma is Halloween crazy at the moment so she has used it to decorate her room.<br \/>\nThis garland would work well for other autumnal celebrations like Thanksgiving (for all you Northern American folk).<br \/>\nThe origami steps are a bit tricky so rather than take photos of the steps I made a video which hopefully will be easier to follow. Of course if you don&#8217;t have time for all that folding, you could always cut out pumpkin shapes for your garland.<\/p>\n<h2>You will need:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Origami Papers in orange tones (as many as you want for your garland)<\/li>\n<li>Green paper for stems<\/li>\n<li>Twine<\/li>\n<li>Sticky tape<\/li>\n<li>Scissors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-50551\" src=\"https:\/\/mypoppet.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/pumpkin-supplies.jpg\" alt=\"origami pumpkin garland supplies\" width=\"600\" height=\"444\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mypoppet.com.au\/makes\/mp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/pumpkin-supplies.jpg 600w, https:\/\/mypoppet.com.au\/makes\/mp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/pumpkin-supplies-300x222.jpg 300w, https:\/\/mypoppet.com.au\/makes\/mp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/pumpkin-supplies-200x148.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>One piece of origami paper makes one pumpkin body. The larger the paper the larger the pumpkin. If you don&#8217;t have origami paper you can cut any decorative paper into a square shape.<\/p>\n<h2>How to:<\/h2>\n<p>1. Time to get folding, watch the video (above) and make as many pumpkins as you like.<\/p>\n<p>2.
