Well we are only two days into the school holidays, and I’m already hearing the words that all parents dread – “I’m bored!”<\/p>\n

Instead of putting up with grumbles, I thought it would be fun to make some art. Emma loves drawing and colouring, so I came up with a plus sized project that would keep her entertained for a long while – A Life-size Self Portrait<\/strong>. She made a similar painting when she was at kinder a few years ago, but now that her artistic skills have developed, it was really fun to revisit the idea.<\/p>\n

The only special requirement for this project is a large piece of paper. I bought a roll of cartridge paper for this activity, but you could also use the back of gift wrap, wallpaper or even tape sheets of newspaper together. We used paints for vivid colours, but markers or crayons will do fine.<\/p>\n
