These <strong>Ice cream Cone Christmas Baubles<\/strong> have a fun summery vibe, and are perfect for those of us who celebrate Christmas in the middle of Summer!<\/p>\n<p>Although this ice cream ornament project isn\u2019t a quick one to make, they are certainly worth the effort. I think these decorations are really special and will become a cherished part of any Christmas decoration collection.<\/p>\n<p>Choose your favourite flavour and embellish with your choice of toppings. Add choc chips, sprinkles, chocolate sauce and even a cherry. I&#8217;ve used some machine embroidery to mimic the patterns on a waffle cone, gold embroidery thread add some extra sparkle.<\/p>\n<h2>You will need:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Clear glass (or plastic) ball ornaments with removable top<\/li>\n<li>Acrylic paint in ice cream tones &amp; chocolate brown<\/li>\n<li>Felt square beige (for cones)<\/li>\n<li>Red pom pom<\/li>\n<li>Gold sewing machine embroidery thread<\/li>\n<li>Sewing machine<\/li>\n<li>Assorted coloured glass pens or sharpies (permanent markers)<\/li>\n<li>Paper Espresso sized cups<\/li>\n<li>Hot glue gun and glue sticks<\/li>\n<li>Scissors<\/li>\n<li>Craft blade and cutting mat<\/li>\n<li>Plastic container and spoon<\/li>\n<li>Paint brush<\/li>\n<li>Empty toilet roll or spare small cup<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Note: In the past I have used glass baubles and Acrylic paint medium to help the paint stick (<a href=\"https:\/\/mypoppet.com.au\/makes\/2015\/11\/diy-cactus-christmas-bauble-ornaments.html\" target=\"_blank\">see a note about it in this post<\/a>). This time I used plastic baubles and no paint medium. I found the paint dried streaky and didn&#8217;t &#8216;stick&#8217; as well as in the past.
