It produces a small neatly closed hole in the center of the first round that is adjustable and can fit whatever number of stitches required. This method is very handy for beginning hats, baskets, doilies, amigurumi and other projects worked in rounds.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Magic Loop &#8211; Find it in the video at 0:11<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The second is a <strong>Treble Stitch<\/strong> (UK\/AUS) &#8211; in the US it&#8217;s called a Double Crochet.<br \/>\nThis is the basic stitch you may recognise in a granny square.
