Who gets excited about Halloween? I do!<\/p>\n
It\u2019s a fun time of year, and I don\u2019t mind showing a little spooky pride on my front door.<\/p>\n
If you want to welcome Trick-or-Treaters to your doorstep this Halloween, creating a Halloween Wreath is an easy place to start.<\/p>\n

This Halloween wreath can be anything you want it to be, and it can be made at very little expense. By simply re-purposing items from around the home, you can create something really decorative, with a spooky twist.<\/p>\n
To make this Halloween wreath I repainted Christmas baubles, used craft supplies already on hand, draped scrap fabric onto broken Monster High dolls, and upcycled parts of a rejected Christmas ornament.<\/p>\n

Don’t worry about the colours, you can always paint the items you are recycling to match the colour scheme of your Halloween wreath.<\/p>\n
Colours like Black, Orange, Purple and Green make everything feel more spooky.<\/p>\n
Some everyday items and craft supplies you can upcycle to make a Halloween wreath:<\/strong><\/p>\n amzn_assoc_placement = “adunit0”; \/\/z-na.amazon-adsystem.com\/widgets\/onejs?MarketPlace=US<\/a><\/p>\n 1. Gather your Halloween wreath supplies. Print template<\/a> at 100% and draw a rough sketch of how you wish to decorate the ring. Don\u2019t worry about drawing skill. This will help you create a visually pleasing layout before gluing things down.<\/p>\n 2. Paint the polystyrene ring using a sponge as a paintbrush. Set aside the ring and allow it to dry.<\/p>\n 3. Wrap a 35cm length of elastic (or string) around a section of the ring. Tie a knot close to the ring body. This will be your hanging loop.<\/p>\n 4. For contrast, drizzle a second colour onto the ring, straight from the paint tube. Set aside the ring and allow it to dry.<\/p>\n 5. Heat up the hot glue gun and stick your decorations to the ring, as per your rough sketch.<\/p>\n 6. Wrap the wire lights around the ring, latching onto the glued down ornaments. Tuck the battery pack into the back of the wreath and secure it with tape if required. Switch on the lights.<\/p>\n 7.
