It also puts less stress on my hands.<\/p>\n<p>I didn&#8217;t realize I was doing it &#8216;wrong&#8217; until readers asked how my single crochet stitches looked like little X shapes.<\/p>\n<p>Turns out it was my HOOK OVER (yarn under) technique.<\/p>\n<p>You can see the difference in the photo below where I&#8217;ve used a traditional yarn over style for a few stitches. This is perfect for items that need to be firmly stuffed so no filling shows or leaks out.<\/p>\n<p>I also think it looks neater.<\/p>\n<p>The tension tends to be a little tighter.
