This cute tooth softie is here to save the day.<\/p>\n<p>Designed with a little pocket in the back for the tooth and of course, money! Quite easy to make only requiring some basic hand stitching. I\u2019ve used home made felt (read\u2010 wool jumper put into a too hot washing machine)<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Black felt, just a scrap for eyes<\/li>\n<li>Polyfill or wool fleece for stuffing<\/li>\n<li>Embroidery floss\u2010 black, red, and a light one to match body colour felt<\/li>\n<li>Embroidery needle<\/li>\n<li>Tailors chalk or marker (optional)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>How to make a Tooth Pillow:<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Step 1<\/strong><br \/>\nPrint out template at 100%<br \/>\nTrace pocket (dashed line) cut and pin to felt.<br \/>\nCut out pattern outline and pin to felt.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 2<\/strong><br \/>\nCut 2 body pieces and cut 1 pocket out of light coloured felt. Cut 2 small black circles for eyes, use pattern as a size guide<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-6637 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/mypoppet.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/tooth-steps.jpg\" alt=\"Make a tooth softie steps\" width=\"600\" height=\"508\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mypoppet.com.au\/makes\/mp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/tooth-steps.jpg 600w, https:\/\/mypoppet.com.au\/makes\/mp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/tooth-steps-300x254.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 3<\/strong><br \/>\nLay out and if you like pin your pieces into position using the template as a guide. Now you can lightly mark where the mouth is to be stitched with a soft pencil or tailors pen. (I\u2019ve shown the pocket in blue here so you can see it)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 4a<\/strong><br \/>\nBack \u2010 Sew the pocket on to the back using a whip stitch. That\u2019s the one that goes over the edges.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 4b<\/strong><br \/>\nFront \u2010 Using black thread whipstitch the eyes into position. For the mouth use a double thickness of red thread and do 2 rows of running stich very close to each other to make a thick line for the mouth. Make sure you cover any guide marks you may have made.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 5<br \/>\n<\/strong>Align the back and front together, right sides facing out. Whipstitch all around the edges leaving a 4cm (2\u201d) gap on the side for easy stuffing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 6<\/strong><br \/>\nStuff the body of the tooth starting with the roots. Make sure you stuff enough to hold its shape, but not too much to deform it.<br \/>\nFinish stitching to close the opening.<\/p>\n<p>So that\u2019s it! You\u2019re done.
