A few weeks ago Emma and I were invited to attend the launch of Bobux’s newest range of shoes for big kids, Bobux KID+. They are designed for active children, and we got to test them out first hand at Clip’n’Climb in Richmond, a super fun indoor climbing center.
I’ve always appreciated the quality of Bobux footwear, but until now Emma’s large feet meant that she sized out of them as a toddler. That’s why I was super pleased to hear the new KID+ range caters to a more mature foot shape in sizes from 27-33, to suit 5-8 year olds.
Emma is at an age where I am struggling to find clothes and footwear that fit well, are well made, age appropriate and stylish. All the robust kid’s clothes seems to stop at about age 6, and I don’t even want to get into how I feel about ‘tween’ styles for girls. Until now I’ve also struggled to find good shoes for her super large feet too.
It’s refreshing to see well made kids’ shoes in such a large range of styles and colours, and I’m loving that a lot of the designs are non-gender specific, yay to an alternative to pink butterflies on everything! The KID+ range includes high performance Play shoes, some awesome street style trainers and refined leather classics (which come in metallic leathers, so cool!)
The only downside is that Emma is already in a size 33, but at least she’ll get to wear her Bobux this winter. After that I don’t know what to do, it’ll be just school shoes and runners till she fits into ladies sizes. Maybe I’ll petition Bobux to push up the size range again!
