Tidy Sewing Room…Finally!

Wow, I’m so excited to share my super tidy sewing room with you. There are no ‘before’ pictures because they were almost too shameful to post. Picture piles and piles of stuff like in that ‘hoarders’ TV show…but worse. You couldn’t even see the floor!
We moved in two years ago and I’ve never really have the time to focus on it, but thankfully the photo shoot was the motivation I needed to really get things done.
It took me the best part of 3 days to get it looking this good.

I’m really proud of myself and just love spending time in there now. Everything is organised and easy to find, so I can spend more time creating and less time searching for things.
I took a few photos after the photographer left, just to capture it at it’s tidiest…
Here are some of my favourite shots

    Well done you!
I have been cracking along with mine, Wintertime looming and all that goes with it, but this is definitely the inspiration I need to get it finished, x

wow tidy and neat working area! I'm also struggling to keep my space as neat and clutter free as possible. I think I still need a lot of inspiration to do it. Thanks for a nice blog post! though I have to ask if you ever consider putting up a nice inspirational or happy art on your work space wall to keep you inspired and motivated? I am considering it though I wouldn't know how to choose hahah.

    Great article!

the shelves of folded fabrics in neat piles of colour look wonderful, as does the whole room! i love the hookey board for scissors too. i find it so hard to keep my sewing space organised after a spring clean, one project in and it's like a tornado has hit, then you get your project complete and it seems to overwhelming to go back and tidy up again!

OoooooOOoOOooohhh's & aaaaaAAAaaaaaw's from me! I'm all inspired to tackle my work space, too, now. Will bookmark this in my brain to think of regularly as other projects lure me away again! I must make my space lovable and workable. Should I pretend a photoshoot is booked? I do do great tidy-ups for guests/visitors etc! So that kinda motivation *might* just work.

    Thanking you, Kind Gentlewoman!

The room looks lovely and hopefully inspiring. I feel so envious, I have gradually lost my sewing rooms to be bedrooms and feel “homeless”. I feel this is the reason for my lack of inspiration at the moment. Seeing your wooden sewing box also brought back memories, as my mother had the same one.

Wow! What a fabulous sewing room! And a wonderful stash! I love it! I also love that your mum makes your bias binding for you! 🙂 I wish! 🙂

I love the horse in the thread box; keeping it real!
