‘Brought to you by Nuffnang and Disney Junior’
Emma has always loved playing doctors with her toys, so when we were recently introduced to a lovable Disney Junior character called Doc McStuffins, she identified immediately. Doc McStuffins is a 6yr old little girl who wants to be a doctor just like her mum, treating and caring for her toys out of her backyard ‘clinic’. Doc’s magical stethoscope brings her toys to life when no one else is around.
Emma likes that the lead character Doc has toys that come to life (and because she wears a pink headband). I like that the program highlights the importance of taking care of yourself and others with engaging stories that Disney does so well.
This month Disney Junior is showcasing Doc McStuffins by making October Doc-Tober on the Disney Junior TV channel with new episodes and new Doc games and activities on DisneyJunior.com.au.
Disney Junior is a Foxtel & Fetch subscription channel especially for pre-school kids aged 2-7, but if you don’t have cable (like us) you can still enjoy Doc McStuffins by watching short episodes, playing games and downloading activity sheets from the Disney Junior website.
We’ve been playing some of the games like Doc McStuffins Clinic where you help diagnose what’s wrong with Doc’s sick toys, and Hide and Seek where you need your keen eyesight and sharp reflexes to help Doc find her toys.
Emma rarely gets to play on my computer, so for her using the keyboard was a real novelty.
The Disney Junior website is designed to work best on laptops and desktops (PC or Mac) so for full functionality and availability of all content, I’d recommend viewing on your computer rather than tablet or phone.
We are really having fun with some of the downloadable activity sheets available on the Disney Junior website, and we’ll be featuring some more Doc McStuffins inspired posts on the blog in the coming weeks.
Are your kids a fan of the Doc?

My daughter loves Doc McStuffins AND Sofia the first! I like Sofia the first because I like princesses that are nice. Hearing Tim Gunn is kinda fun too, hee hee
We are Huge McStuffin fans ^_^ but I think our house favorite is Lambie ^_^
My fave is doc mcstuffins, of course! She’s the one my daughter identifies with.
Doc McStuffins is my favourite. What a refreshingly positive role model for girls!
In my house we are Sofia the first & Doc McStuffin fans. I love the characters almost as much as my daughter does. For book week at her pre-school she dressed up as Sofia the first and she looked oh so gorgeous 🙂
It’s a tie in our house between Doc and Jake! I’ve never visited the Disney Junior website, but am always on the lookout for good activity sheets – thanks for the tip!
Entries now closed – good luck
Hi there, I see the entry is closed I just wanted to see if you know where I could buy this toy to get it sent to Australia. I’m just having a bit of trouble tracking it down.
Kind regards
Looks like you can still get them on US amazon here https://amzn.to/2zh2bJH (aff) and they will ship to Australia but it’s an expensive proposition at just under $100 US including shipping.
I don’t know of any local stockists although you may get lucky and find a toyshop with older stock.
Thanks Cintia!
