You all know I like to Upcycle wherever I can. Re-using and transforming unwanted objects and materials is not a new concept, and finally it seems to be coming out of the fringes and into the main-stream as people are becoming conscious of reducing consumption.
Now a new book by Rebecca Proctor, an expert on sustainable design, showcases projects from 24 international product designers with step-by-step instructions so you can create your very own piece of high-end upcycled design for your home.
But even better than an Upcycling book, is an upcycling book that features one of my projects.
It’s an honor to see my work and my story along side other artists and designers (I don’t consider myself as either), it makes me feel like what I’m doing, just making things, is actually legitimate (I know that sounds silly). You can see the original project here – Cross Stitch Chair
I’m loving the preview projects and am keenly awaiting for my copy to arrive in the mail.
You can purchase your own copy here, or request it at your local book seller
